Master Oscillator Power Amplifier SLD Systems

Superlum MOPA-SLD light sources are an ultra-high power SLD-based light sources which allow much higher output power than that of a conventional SLDs with significantly reduced sensitivity to optical feedback, and longer life time due to less intensive driving. This is achieved by boosting of a medium-power SLDs by spectrally-matched SOA-based optical boosters. There are two possible types of such a matching, one targeted for maximum possible output power, and another targeted for getting of a widest possible spectrum at a cost of power. Superlum offers different MOPA-SLD systems in 800-900 nm band with PMF output power up to 100 mW.
